Central Bedfordshire Council (CBC) Adult Social Care Service helps to protect, care and support vulnerable adults to enable them to live as full and independent lives as possible. We provide a holistic assessment of need taking into consideration all aspect of a person's daily living and we will arrange support to meet eligible needs.

Who to Refer

CBC operates the Fairer access to care (FACS) criteria in relation to eligibility and provides service to customers in the critical, substantial and moderate bandings  http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/health-and-social-care/adult-care/support-live-home/who-can-get-support.aspx

Adult Social Care services include:

  • Adults with Physical or Sensory Disabilities
  • Adults with Learning Disabilities
  • Adults - Older People over 65yrs
  • Adults recovering form a stay in hospital
  • Adult who may have HIV or AIDS
  • Adults with Mental Health Problems
  • Adults with alcohol or drug issues
  • Adults who are carers for others

Who not to Refer

People who are managing independently with all aspects of their life and only need support with housework or shopping
