The L&D team of four Audiologists and one Hearing
Therapist see over 10,000 patients each year from throughout
Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire.
Regular diagnostic clinics are run alongside the daily ENT clinics. The Audiologists are also responsible for carrying out screening for hearing challenges in new born babies and paediatric patients.
Their service also covers the supply, maintenance and replacement of hearing aids. Initial referrals for hearing aids are made either by ENT or, if the patient is over 55 years of age, directly by their GP.
Once a hearing aid has been supplied, a patient can then self-refer for ongoing testing and any required changes to hearing aids.
There is also a hearing aid repair service, which is open daily from 9am to 12 noon.
Clinics and Contacts
Most Audiology clinics run from 9am to 12.30 and from 1.30 to 4.30pm.
